No one can say how to do it step by step. By the newcomers like you can always try the Windows Movie Maker, Sony Vegas, Camtasia Editor, etc...
Try find some of them.

Step By Step will ocupy more than 10 pages... just downlaod Sony Vegas Cracked and all that..... then just look in YouTube fot tuts

Go on youtube and search sony vegas 10 tutorials. If you can't do that then how can you even attempt to edit?

FRAPS are the things you need.
Then the others , are effects.

you don't need someone telling you how to do things you could always do it the old fashioned way and learn from your mistakes or find a member that is not too busy to help mentor you in the ways of sony vegas.

Get softwares like sony vegas and adobe after effects , record your gameplay, download .pdf tutorials on editing and you are all set to make your own montage video.

Just use Camtasia Studio. With it you can record and edit.
