2. Buy and read DX book
3. Learn to hack and practice

You forgot step 1a. Read the C++ book again and step 2a. Read the DX book again.

Newbies think they can come here, watch a video/tutorial and make a hack

I want to learn, as well... I've just got to figure out more about how to make them, really.
Its all the coding part that's fucking hard.
