Working Commands + Bind Tut
tried it with sticky bomb, but it didn't do much of anything. :\ Also, there seems to be individual commands for a "frag_sticky_bomb" and I figure that's what would relate to sticky bombs. I tried throwing in timebomb into the set_sub_weapon but, my secondary image just disappeared and I was throwing whatever sub I had before. @-@
so what's the verdict on how path exp works with the trans commands?
Speed Hack Bind (Safe Mode)
bind "RIGHTARROW" "plr_turning_movement_speed_rate_min 2;host_timescale 1.5"
bind "LEFTARROW" "plr_turning_movement_speed_rate_min 0.1"
The reasoning:
I use the term "safe" loosely, meaning I don't do the "skip map" tactic to just run to boss and kill with golden balls each run (because with the leaderboard system I want run times to look legit, etc).
Previous info has suggested: host_timescale X (X usually as 1,2, or 3)
and plr_turning_movement_speed_rate_min X (X usually as 1,2. or 3 then 0.1 to return to default)
I combined them as "plr_turning_movement_speed_rate_min 2;host_timescale 1.5" and this is why...
running host_timescale 2 or 3 you do get faster attacks and movement, but SO DO THE MOBS. So this does enable faster dungeon clearing, but it gives no "edge" over the mobs at all since their actions are sped up as much as yours. Using the movement speed command you get faster movement speed while the mobs do NOT, so it gives you an "edge" over the mobs (but attack speed still sucks using only that command).
Therefore, using "plr_turning_movement_speed_rate_min 2;host_timescale 1.5" you end up with sort of the old hack effect we had with HFS mods where you have a MOVEMENT speed hack AND an ATTACK speed hack both in effect without giving the mobs much boost either. It can be tweaked of course with different values, but so far those are the values that made it seem the most appealing to me as far as game play.
This is just information to help others who may want to use this for running dungeons much faster yet still "clearing them" and not raising suspicion on the leader boards. And I can say that as scythe evie this setting is so sweet.
Last but not least, bind "LEFTARROW" "plr_turning_movement_speed_rate_min 0.1" is because you need to turn off the movement speed each zone back to town/docks to not look suspicious. (the timescale reverts automatically)
you could pick any two keys of course, i just use <--- to think slowing back down and ---> to think speeding it up as easy to remember.
