The reason for this. One of my ex's has cervical cancer, and she just found out today. She's never going to be able to have kids. And just 2 days ago she was telling me how great her life was going.

people need to believe in something higher. a life without goals is a life without motivation. thus not one worth living. and if you think about it. we go to "heaven" when we die. which is a human beings way of saying hey... my existence was worth something. i lead my life according to some rules and now i get to go to heaven. its all bullshit really. human existence is pointless. so i suggest you have fun while you can still kick and jump. and not having kids isnt the end of the world. there are plenty of people out there that cant. and they adopt. its actually a wonderful way to have a child to take care of. and give someone who would have been overlooked by society a second chance.

Yes, you make an excellent point, but adopting isn't anything to raising your own flesh and blood.

People need something to believe in. People need a reason to exist, and to think there is some sort of higher power. If this higher power exist not, no one can really be sure unless there dead, and I don't see the dead talking.

indeed it would. and its a tough fact of life though. i mean i dont mean to be rude. but my brother and i have been brought up in a tough love atmosphere. there may be downfalls to not having your own children through natural birth. but a surrogate mother could be found. there are plenty of resources out there. its not the end of the world.

true. many people believe in an non-intervening God, so aren't these "resources" to many of life's tough issues god's real intervention?
