I hear people saying that using "@person's name" makes it easier for them to be notified or something in a post.
How does it make it easier? I don't understand.

u put @ then the name and it sends them a notification that says "soo and soo" has mentioned ur name so then u click the notification and it pops u up in the thread with "your name mentioned "
