Yeah, that is one of three of the log files that will be in your HS folder. There's also aspinet and Supdate. I don't know the extentions for them, I haven't bothered to check yet, but it could be txt or log. Either way, both display notepad as the program to open them (there's a fuckin' notepad icon next to it, that's all). You can delete these along with the HSUpdate folder. Just restart your PC after you delete these. EDIT: Oh yeah, theres a file named rwdata2 that I delete as well.
Hmm, me and skool were talking, and I mentioned that Nexon could possibly have a way to recover some of these error logs. SO if they see thousands of these errors (if a human even looks), it should be interesting.

*I still don't think it's the lag that will allow the chams to run. I don't know what it is, but maybe Nexon included parts of the last patch to be in the HS update, or the injection timing of the hack has to be when these HSupdate files "appear" on your PC.
Fuck if I know, but this is good enough for me to play CA, I don't play that much anymore...

1st:Go to C:NexonCombatARMS. The click on the folder named
HSHIELD

AND SUPDATE.txt |NOTEPAD|TXT|

2nd: Open Strife's hack (prefered original, not carms)

3rd: Open Combat arms, Press game start and right away PRESS OK!

4th: It should load, and it will give an error, and outside of it will be a black screen.

WITH THE ERROR AND THE BLACK SCREEN, CLICK ON THE BLACK SCREEN RIGHT AWAY OR IT WILL
MINIMIZE.

5th: HAVE FUN!
-NOTE-: ALWAYS DO STEP 1 WHEN YOU GO ON COMBAT ARMS. <----- VERY IMPORTANT.

gees the hack is the old one strife made. Its not a new one his jsut explaining how to get the old hack workin in this new patch. And if u already know its the old hack use the search button much faster than waiting for someone to respond to your reply post

Oh yeah, there's a 60 second waiting period between searches, so maybe posting was a good idea. Searches can take long, but I usually find what I need. Or you could try pm'ing someone. Shit, that's why I bothered to put my AIM and MSN information in my profile.

this method works perfectly fine with me few hours back. but i tried again jsut now it cant work anymore.. anyone can clarify with me?

i deleted the the update folder, and the 2 .txt files already as stated in the first post by threadstarter already..

this does work on vista, i got it to work with the non vista updated version, just followed the same directions

If you guys could say what kind of XP version are you using? I've tried every method out so far and everytime no error message pops up. All it does is just crashes. And YES I'm using XP as well.

Weird it used to work for me now it doesn't. I'm on XP and have tried restarting and deleting the files both before and after restarting. If I'm too slow it dumps back to my desktop. If I click at the right time I may get the error message that I should ignore, but it still dumps to the desktop instead of staying in game. I've tried ten times and every time the error appears and it also dumps to desktop. I've got the same programs running in the background as when it worked (five tabs of FF3, Word, and MSN) so I'm not sure if I should try to lag it more or what.
