Custom Sights

I know how to edit the sight itself, what I want to do is make it a different color like green. I know someone told me to edit the RGB channels or something, but I have no idea how to do it.

That's the answer to everything nowadays, "Google it". I tried that already it doesn't help.

How can you google something wrong? *LOL'S* Sure I can go google it but maybe, JUST MAYBE!!!! Google can fail sometimes. It explains what the RGB channels do but it doesn't explain how to take a simple image and use the channels to change it to a different color. ALL I WANT, is to make the RED DOT SIGHT, a GREEN DOT SIGHT.

i was wondering how to do this sort of thing also. has someone done a tutorial on it yet? if not could someone do one quick or even post how to do it. thanks.

Ask any other texture tutorial.
You just have to search for the red dot sight and find the dot.
(Not that hard if you search)

i have the file and can open it in photoshop but how do you make the dot show up as a different color in the game? i dont want it red.
