Google and find the D3D SDK June 2010
I just installed it, and now i have like 50 .rar files and when i extracted one that was called August_d3dx9_42_x64.rar it just gives me the dll not a header and a lib file. What do i do now?

EDIT:

I just downloaded the august 2005 Directx 9.0 SDK. I will see what happens from here. My question is, should i copy and paste the headers and libs to my compiler folder or leave it as is.

EDIT:==========================

It's still not working.
You probably forgot:
Code:
#pragma comment(lib, "d3d9.lib")

USe Summer 2004, June 2010 always gives me problems.
I will try right now.

EDIT:=====================================

Ok, i just solved my problem. The problem was that i was linking to x64 libs because i thought that was what i was supposed to do since my computer is x64, but it turns out that linking to the x86 libs works on my computer with no error. Thanks a bunch guys.
