For those with ASUS Xonars!

Just found something really funny.

Find your favorite song, then go into KARAOKE, turn on KEY SHIFTING and put it to 2 # it doesnt chipmunk them but listening to champion with it actually sound pretty great.

Its the Asus Xonar audio center, if you own a xonar DG and up it should already be installed with the sound card.

Theres the DG, D1, D2/PM, DX, D2X, HDAV1, ST, STX, Xense, & Essence.

that program comes on the driver CD of the cards.

Are they pricy? I've been looking for a nice sound card since motherboard audio isn't good enough for me. :3

The Xonar DG is $35, and can power headphones even in the 100 ohms range, not only that it has actual dolby and 7.1 headphone mode not that cheaper thing the others have. its 95% identical to the DX1/DX2.... i would get it for sure its really incredible.

I got mine on ebay for $20, granted it looked like it came out of a tornado, but hell it works! they should have an open box DG on newegg for $25 tho

I have an old sound card, but I really find no reason to buy one especially when my motherboard supports 7.1. Dunno about audio quality, but my shit sounds alright, especially with the plugin I have for WMP.

Sometimes it does suck to have to have an amp for your headphones though.

Fml, no space for an audio card in my setup, stuck with the integrated realtek one

$25? Sometimes I see sound cards on sale for like $10.

I had to put mine like 1/2 inch away from PSU on the bottom, tight fit meh.

dedicated cards make a huge difference in sound quality. Pretty much for example the DG is a stripped down ST, so it sounds really really good. Dolby + virtual 7.1 together make one world of a difference.
