I know there is a tutorial, I looked at it, it didn't work/I did something wrong/it's been "patched". Help? (lol im a newb)

No clue. But that specific tutorial won't work anymore. IJJI blocks the usage of the less than and greater than signs (< , >) when used to enclose text.
