all the defence had to make was reasonable doubt. nothing more, nothing less. they did what needed to be done. the prosecution never made the straight connection between caylee and casey killing her.

What the hell, everyone walking around like they know shit about this fucking trial. 90% just read about it on Tuesday, unlike some who actually followed the whole thing.
The verdict was appropriate, when it comes to this you have to have hard evidence, all the defense needed was to put a doubt in the jury's mind. And that's what they did.
