My first program

Hi everyone.
I recently started VisualBasic, I know I will probably be flamed, cuz this isnt a hack tool, this is just a tool that simulates the search tool from windows. It browses pictures with .bmp, .jpeg and .ico formats.

Like, I just started today coding okay, just wann show you my progress and wanna know what you think. Thanks!

I do really apreciate suggestions for me to make to improve and if you get errors or bugs, PM me plz!

Thx. U know why? Cuz it was a .ico file with low resolution. Therefore, when the pic showed up it filled the whole space distorting itself. thats why.

Ok so the tool is incapable of showing the real image? instead it stretches it out to window size, meh.

I know its not a big deal. I just started codin today, really my first time with VB.
So please dont expect this tool to be that good. But will be better in the future I promise!!!

You could put something like "If 'filename' = "*.bmp" (and the others images) Then..."
And the Image inside the File would be showed somewhere.

It would be really nice, and maybe you can make it better than Window's one :X
Functions like "Exclude: ".bmp", ".png" ..

Ill improve my program havin in mind what u said.
Its a funny program!

Looks great. Could improved the picture though. Next time save it to gimp then resave it within Gimp as a .ico file.

To be better rename the form 1 to Image Searh or somethig

Was this made in VB6? If so I'll also need a scan from VirusTotal - Free Online Virus, Malware and URL Scanner because I cannot decompile a VB6 executable with .NET reflector (obviously)

You probably wanna look at VB.NET instead of VB6, it's the future of VB, VB6 is almost obsolete now.

Really? I was unaware, I made it with VB6. VB.net u say? Ok ill move to it soon!

Yeah, .NET Framework is awesome. You won't have unmanaged code anymore though, and VB.NET is OOP. It's a bit of a shift, VB.NET is not as similar to VB6 as you would expect, but it's well worth changing.

you could make that it fits the image to its original size. and you could add a maximum size like 800x600
