I see them a lot, is it necessary ? , You can easily PM him/her on the forums and say " I Respect you" . Do you have to leave it out in the open ?

What's the difference between sending a PM to that individual ?

If you just send a PM,
then you only say it once and it really means nothing.
But if you put it in your sig then it shows to all the other members,
that you respect those people.
So really...
Its more respectful to put it in your sig than send by PM.
