起動 Doesn't mean start

起動(機械が運転を始めること)
Machine is (Definition below) Beginning thing.
運転(機械や乗り物を動かすこと)
Machine and Vehicle Moving thing. (Rough english translation)
Which leads to above

Specific to machines。
Impossible to get a Real english definition english definition、
Which is why i've gone monolingual with japanese, If i don't know words I'll look them up in a japanese dictionary And get japanese example sentences And i study those sentences and all my previous ones using an SRS www.ankisrs.net For long term memory. And if i can get 91.4% of 35,000 Repitions correct, it obviously is win.

Most of my day(actually all) of my day is spent with japanese, either watching movies, playing games, reading manga, pirating(japanese media) and programming(Japanese comments)。

I get to listen to real speech 24/7、I Create a playlist (which Is over 30 hours long(Loop) and listen and listen。 I keep it on 24/7 So the last thing I hear before falling asleep is japanese and the first thing i am greeted to (aside from alarm clock) is japanese.

David can hate all he wants, but I went from nothing to Monolingual, I know as much Kanji as a highschool graduate, Can watch media and enjoy, use a japanese OS, and i only have been doing this 7 months.
Somethings like that. Well atleast in English Windows it's 'Starting Windows'. And nice, seems like your really taking this seriously.
Aye, I never said it was a bad idea. I just think you're insanely addicted to anything Japanese. Regardless, it's a great way to learn and comfort yourself with the language.

Greatest milestone achieved, good job Patrick.
Fail. Windows and Microsoft Corporation isn't written in Japanese.

Because they are trademarked names dumdum. The japanese word for "windows" is not the same as the "Windows" trademark lul.

Probably because arabic is written right to left, so they don't want to spell windows in english backwards?
