And I had the same thing happen to me when trying to take off a heatsink once. Damn things was pretty mch glued on there so when it came out it pulled the CPU out and bent one of the pins. Bent it back and the CPU works to this day.

You said DDR2 vs DDR3. That is for memory. What you are looking for would be differences like AM2 vs LGA 775 or something like that.

@Epic, Cool story brah, I did that thing too to my PSP battery, I was hacking it, I fucked up my battery, used knife in the process, manage to live a feww more days. Now its back on!
