[Help] Built in Mic not working?

Built in Mic not working?

I got a built in mic on my laptop and it stopped working in CA. It used to work two months ago. It keeps showing red thing for everyone next to the player names for everyone. Everything is turned on on the settings. I can't hear or talk on the mic.

I tested my mic on Speech recognition and it works fine there.

Did you enable voice chat?

check your settings

set everything back to default , then switch it back if still doesnt work

Did that also. Voice chat and Game voice is on. Selected my mic also.

Did that also. Clicked Load default. set the mic and speaker to default ones.. didn't work. changed it back to my mic and speaker and didn't work.

go into device manager and disable ur mic, then re-enable it. then try. Sometimes its small things like that... thats what i did on my lapotop back when i had it.

Just tried that. Couldn't find my mic on the Device manager (didn't know where to look) but I went to the Sound option in Control Panel and clicked recording tab and found my mic there. Did enable/disable..still not working on ca.

It works on Speech Recognition though so the microphone is working, just not in CA.

Here's my settings in CA btw.

update driver?... reinstall CA?

Erm... Thats what i would suggest reinstall ca.. I dont think that would do anything but worth a shot.

Go to your manufacturers website and download the most recent sound driver. I had this problem too

Forgot to mention this yesterday but, I reinstalled it and tried it and still doesn't work.. I also downloaded the drivers from the manufactuer's website even though it was my driver was up to date.

as for your mic, I actually have not been able to get my mic to work eiter for some reason

click on the persons name to private message them... should be in the listing if you can

try to set voice chat on and look about windows settings.
