So, I just wanted to know if you guys think Operation Facebook will work?
Penny for your thoughts.

I personally think it would work, if a few thousand members LOIC it.
Anyway, if you don't know what I'm talking about, read on.

it wont work, fb got multiple servers so when one get down it just redirect to another service

Well... I changed to G+, so it'd be rather awsome if they could manage this. However, hacking facebook is like hacking google or fbi I guess... You won't manage it. Still good luck. :P

@invishadow It's harder to hack google and facebook than it is to hack the FBI.

It's a hoax. Only a few members from Anonymous want to do it, and the actual group as a whole does NOT endorse the actions. It will fail.

Regarding the fact that many members are against hacking facebook: Just read through searched a bit via Facebook and at Anonymous' forums, especially those that have own cells and/or operations do hate the idea of hacking facebook. Organizing and posting via any kind of media is main strategy when creating a cell, and Facebook is the biggest social media, that's fact. So taking out facebook will take out a member and recruitment base for the cells, thus results in having lower chances to take out other targets.

Unless someone calls in a missile strike on Facebook's servers, it's not happening.

Nothing will happen. Anonymous, at least the vast majority of them, doesn't target the media the use to broadcast, they've said that themselves.

Well lets remember to be a member of Anonymous all you have to do is hack something and stay anonymous, once you get caught you are automatically out of the group. So yes a bunch of script kiddies could say Anonymous is going to 'hack' Facebook, but it probably will not happen. Also the seniors members probably are in on this because they want freedom, so why would restrict it by 'hacking' Facebook?
