So I'm getting a laptop for my brother with Nvidia Optimus Technology, and I've heard some problems with gaming. The card is Nvidia Gt 520m. Does anyone know if there is a problem with Optimus when gaming?
Optimus is beastly but the 520 is kinda weak. You would be better off with a higher end gpu if your main purpose is gaming, if you're looking for a laptop with great battery life and many media features - jackpot.
well considering I'm getting for 500 dollars, I'm pretty sure it's fine for my brother. He only plays Runescape -.-

Should be more than sufficient then, RS can be rendered on even the worst gpus. Dunno if he'll be able to do anything really fancy, but it should be cool enough and it'll work great when he won't need the extra power (my Asus ul80 can last ~8 hours of normal work when saving power ).
GT 520m isn't kinda weak, it is weak... The best GPU's for laptops from Nvidia start with the GTX 560m, GTX 570m & GTX 580m...
ATI/AMD is cheaper
Cheaper doesn't mean it's better... Quality over Quantity...

And their power draw is high enough to rape any battery. Kthx.
Yes I know... But I wanted the extra power from the GPU... 180w Battery...
