If you are really bored and out of your mind and have nothing better to do just to be on the rankings then YES.

There is no reward for being on the top ladder for a F2P game so far.

There has been times where the top16 have been selected for tournament play but then people would be notified per e-mail to attend or not and the people who wouldn't attend the ladder would be next as participants.

I have yet to see some amazing reward for being top ladder PvP but the reason they don't give it out is because people will abuse the Ladder as you stated by dual clienting and PvPing yourself.

So is it worth it in my opinion?
Hell NO!
