Check if you AV and Firewall isn't affecting the Crossfire connection. And try checking if someone, with the exception of you, are having this problem.
Your internet.
Take out the internet plug, re put it back in. This is caused by the connection not reaching the server in time.
Try what I said. Give it a go. Report back.
