I would bring a history text book from my AP US history class then one pencil, so I could read all day and write on the textbook, for notes, also it would be my autobiography, and my journal. Then later on in history hopefully I would be in 20th edition of the book where one guy survived on an island with only a pencil and a text book for entertainment. (I hope my pencil wouldn't break.)
