Do you have any hacks downloaded on your PC?
That error means it did not receive the files from the X-Trap server.

Try talking out your internet plug for 20 seconds, and re put it back in.

lol, idk, i am a mpgh member, so noo.... (sarcasm) ima delete them all and do what the other guy said to do too

Neither way works, i deleted all forms/traces of hacks and restarted computer and internet. Any other ideas?
Okay, did you try disabling your anti virus/firewall, and also are you allowing crossfire as a trusted program when you are running it? What Anti Virus do you got - better to answer this.

Are you running as administrator? Game won't work and it'll act up like that if its not ran on administrator.

Try using compatibility mode, in order to do so, you must right click on crossfire, go to properties, then go to the compatibility tab. Then check mark the box that says "Run this program in compatibility mode for" - or it'll say something similar to that, and then from the drop down menu, select the highest option given. I think your OS is Windows 7, but just to clarify, the highest option for Windows XP given is Windows 2000, while for Vista and 7, its Windows XP.

THANK YOU!!! i had to go into the cf folder, and manually click norton file insight and trust one-by-one the g4box, the patcher, and the autoupdate extension, i am on windows 7 64 bit, with the newly upgraded norton 2012, which i just upgraded to yesterday, and thats what was blocking it

Sry didnt know how to mention your name to see my last message, so i quoted ya for you to notice ^^^
Just for future reference: Always run as administrator.
If the error happens again, try updating Norton.
Look back at the compatibility option I gave you. Some people have said it works through that.

If your going to use hacks, remember to run those as administrator, too.
