WindMobile

I've been thinking about trying WindMobile as a starting phone carrier. I dunno if its only Canadian, but is it worth a shot? The plan I'm thinking of getting is 30 bucks for unlimited talk text and data, for 30 bucks a month, with a Blackberry Curve 3G for free with WindTab. The coverage isn't too bad.

That'd be a pretty nice deal if the phone you were choosing didn't suck. Then again, I know nothing of their service.
Windmobile is canada only i think
@Corndog
I'd rather get a blackberry for free then pay 99 bucks for a phone.
They have bad reception if you want try mobilicity
I'd go with Koodo. I like them.
If you like the phone then go for it
Weird carrier is weird.
Dont get it. Move to Australia and use vodafone
Get what ever you think is the best for you

I'm going to give you my background knowledge of Wind.

Wind is like another version of Fido, good plans and good offers, but I've heard there phone line is slightly better. Wind though, I've had before, they are good for the first two years into the contract if you got no problems, like who wouldn't. But when my contract ended, I was attempting to get a contract renewal which can lead to a new phone, plan, etc, with better offers, since I was their customer for two years. Then, when I go to a store, they said we needed a $25 dollar plan in order to upgrade, so I go okay wth, I'm getting a new contract with Wind, not a new phone or anything. But then they were like, you still need a $25 plan to upgrade. Then I go through the process in telling them how ridiculous your comparing upgrade and contract renewal; as they are two different things. So I go over a hardware renewal, which is basically getting a new phone when you are currently ON a contract, from what they stated. A contract renewal is when your full two years are done, and you can then go and renew your contract with a new plan, phone, etc etc, what ever charges may apply. I had to go over that for about 10 minutes or so. Then they finally are like, okay, I see your point, but even with that you still need to get a $25 dollar plan. ZZzZz, my dad doesn't get anything but $20 since I don't personally text through the network, but rather use my internet instead or text, but I still need the calling minutes, therefore I'm on a plan. So then, they finally offer me a deal, a bunch of these wacko cheap features for $20 dollars, and a phone of your choice on the lineup. We tried threatening them by saying how we were going to go with another phone company, but it looks like they didn't care. So then my dad and I was like , fine. But then we just hung the phone on them. Called them bullshit and went with Fido. Now today, I just went today, and this SAME STORY happened today. Same way Fido was dealing with their stuff, etc, only this time, they gave me a cheap and great plan, discounted my phone, and were more helpful. I didn't even have to threaten them, and they still gave me a better deal then Wind.

So personally:
• Wind has bad customer service from my experience
• Good plans, somewhat good phone lineup
• They don't really care about their customers, or as far as I dealt with, the person really didn't care about me or my dad as customers.

Fido, which I got right now, is great with plans, though their phone line up is weak at the moment. More simple phones than smart phones at the moment. They're gaining slowly, but they're a bit steady in pace. They're community forums are really nice too. There are some good answer's there, and sometimes the crummy answers, but not always crummy. They're customer care line is good. Really nice people. They dealt with my problem rather easily than I expected.

tl;ydr But good reference if you try out Wind.
windmobile is actually a good company. just not popular. i'd rather stick with rogers imo.
Anything against Verizon. They have the best signal in USA, as proven by a 3rd party.
@Cthulhu
Thing is, I live in Canada,
And, I just want to try a cellphone, and try wind, to see if I like it.
Don't Listen To Them, Stick To Wind
