What's a good free recording program, I want to do a LP or two...

Fraps
or crack Camtasia 7 or Total screen recorder gold

Record your music? umm have you tried garage band maybe? not sure.. ill ask my friend what he uses

then get adobe after effects or something like that.

look on Adobe, find the program you want
and then go to pirate bay and torrent it.

Get fraps; by far the best.

Fraps and camtaisa, no other choices.
