Counter-Strike: Source is a first person shooter released by Valve during 2004. Game play wise Counterstrike can be a very fun game when playing with friends, but the graphics do suffer due to the dieing "Source" engine.
The style of the game is a search and destroy style. Where terrorist have to plant the bomb and counter terrorist have to defuse it. There is another game style where terrorist have to guard the hostages and counter terrorist have to rescue them.
The game is hard to master compared to other FPS games (Call of duty, Battlefield and etc.) due to the fact that you have to control the recoil, aim precisely at there head, tap the bullets and etc. When you start you will most likely be dominated by the veterans in counterstrike, so i recommend you find a death match server so there is no spawn timer.
Pros: Older PCs can run it.
Cheap
Great for LAN parties (if they still exist)
Great fun with friends
Huge player base
Popular among tournaments
Cons: Graphics aren't the best
Using the slowly dieing "Source" engine.
Pretty old game
You may come across hackers
No single player/ campaign
