[HELP] Adding brushes/texts

A while ago i use to have a different portable CS5 Photoshop on my desktop (it died lol) So now i am using .REZs CS5 portable download thing. On the one that was on the desktop i was able to drag pictures from a file, say my pic file and post them and re-size them into the area i have set to work. But.. now i can't drag pics into the work area i made. The mouse symbol turns into a circle with a slash through it on all the pics i have used.. So i open them but i cannot do anything with them because an error message pops up... PLEASE HOW DO I FIX THIS??? Thanks+Rep added
