No it verifys I did it for my friend today. Maybe your putting totally bullshit info on Etrade. If you do that it will not verify. I would look for a store near your adress and use that. But keep the info for all the pages consistant

I use those lame prepaid Visa/Mastercard debit cards to verify. Well, I did before I got a job and a real credit card.
