Vindictus in a VM
I was wandering if someone might be able to point me towards a guide to get Vindictus running on a VM.

Currently I am trying to get Oracle VM VirtualBox to work but Vindictus just crashes on the "Vindictus" splash title after the game guard goes away. This is without running an injector or anything.

Its possible that VB is not compatible or something. What do you guys use?

Spec for the VM is as follows:

4GB of Ram
100GB drive space
Video 128MB 3D and 2D enabled ( This is the problem by my guess. Can't seem to find any other way to get it to use my video card driver. )

The computer I am using is as follows:
I7-2600K @ 3.7ghz
16GB Ram
GTX 580
OS: Win7 64bit
I think I may be able to help you!!

Thanks do @Dracconus I have been able to run Vindictus on 2 VM's and my main system as a 3rd one. So far IMHO your setup for the VM is overkill for Vindictus. As my setup gives it just enough and probably more room to work with.

The best, as far as I know, and what dracconus recommends is VM Workstation. (Use google or piratebay to get a free copy -tpb is where I got it from)
Memory - 1.5 GB
HDD - 45 GB
Network Adapter - NAT
The resolution should be at the lowest that Vindictus will run on, and I think thats 1280 x 1024 (If Vindictus can run at a lower resolution I suggest to lower it then since its pointless to run Vindictus on high settings on VM if all you want to do is farm.)

This link should give you more info. Also there is a search button. I am lazy to look for it, but I'm pretty sure dracconus has a thread about VMs.
You can also set up shared folders to the VM, and just copy over the Nexon directory from your main. Much easier to setup this way (for me anyways). But don't forget to install stuff like NET Framework, etc.

@tupac_orionmg What are your computer specs that allow you to run 2 VM+main?

My computer specs are as follows, and I'm wondering if I can run a 2nd VM. Running 1 VM+main right now, and not sure how far I can push.

i5-2500k (overclocked to 3.2Ghz)
8GB RAM
ATI 6950 2GB
OS: W7 64bit
2 VMs @ 2 GB RAM should be alright.
I just found the thread a few minutes ago. Thanks for the information. It has put me in the right direction. I at least found me a project to work on.
Well I found a copy of XP and using VMworkstation. Now I get Exception_Access_Violation after the splash screen. I'll work through it tomorrow. I'm also open to suggestions.

you need to install vmware tools on both the host OS, then lastly on the client OS. This must be done on EVERY client OS that you run (it's easier to just install vindictus, and your graphics drivers, etc. then copy the image.)
YES, I said to install your graphics cards drivers if you can...why, because they use bridging...in other words, it literally utilizes your video cards processor (I think it doesn't use the ram though, or so it appears...I'm unsure.)
Vmware tools was the missing link. I am still working through some things but I am much better off now. Thanks for your help guys.
Just thought I would share what ended up working for me:

VM Software: VMware Workstation
OS: Windows XP Pro Corp Edition
Ram: 1.5 GB ( This could be reduced. I just have plenty to spare. )
VDisk Size: 60GB ( This can be reduced to 20GB or less. I just overshot it and was to lazy to resize. )

Created VDisk and installed XP.
Updated XP with all the patchs. I'm sure you only need a few thing but I just selected them all and went with it.
Installed VMware tools.
Installed Vindictus.
Set up bot files.

I do get some crashes if I try to resize the screen during loading so keep that in mind.

Also I cloned the working image I had and started another instance. The only thing I changed in the clone was the computer name to keep it from conflicting.

Hopefully this will help someone in the future.
to @mianori, my specs are pretty old but they work just fine.

O'C 3.8Ghz AMD X4 965 BE
16GB ddr3
2x 5850 Crossfired

Nothing special but I will make a new build soon. I am excited
