If you get the same infraction reason over and over again they take longer to expire.
(example)
an infraction inspires in 21 (3 weeks) days from receiving it. (note that i've received dozens of infractions for the same thing.)
another infraction received right after it expires in 33 days.

If you'd behave there would be no infractions, it is a punishment.
