30 YEAR ANNIVERSARY

I am taking a Photoshop class (Photography II) currently at my school and our assignment was to make a 8X11.5 "poster" for our school's upcoming 30th anniversary. I didn't want it to be filled with pizzazz or something of the like and I was aiming towards a more simplistic and sophisticated style. I'm not a huge fan of the "DIAMOND BAR" text because of the sizing but I didn't know how else to put it.

too much purple.. u need to add more of that golden text.
Make the BG more interesting.

What is it based on like r u doiing a disco or some shit?

Don't put any space stock or sparkles behind, it makes it look gay and childish. Find more professional and formal font that's appropriate with what you're writing for.

It's just a 30 year anniversary. Our school's colors are purple and gold, which is why those are the two colors. Font is something that's never been a forte of mine. If you have suggestions that would be helpful. Also, not sparkles or a space stock

The BG is a black color fill with a few splatters.

You know this could actually work if you did it right
The purple is way too purple the font is way too "comic sans" use helvetica's or some other font
The gold is also not the greatest effect you can use layer styles too make it actually look like it's gold
And for the purple choose a better color not just the first purple you find
Adding a more interesting background would make this complete because right now it's nothing a ver subtle space stock or a little bit of texture either one would be cool

I think you should put a teddy bear and a balloon on it. And then write "30 year aniversary, Mustangs are better than us so you shouldn't really bother coming. It'll just be shit anyway." in mustangs colours. @Matt @KABLE
