Hunter X Hunter

Just watched the first episode and it looks very, very generic. I haven't seen the original but people who have will probably have a different opinion. Reminds me of One Piece to be honest. Also, don't really like the way the characters are drawn because it gives it the appearance of an old anime.

Uh.....it IS an old anime.

Although it starts out generic, once the exam goes into fights and then the arcs are very interesting.

However, the start is incredibly generic i agree.

I don't see the need to remake the original first season. I would have made the currently ending ant arc as it has ridiculous fights and great narration.

The first arc is about as clever as naruto before shippuden.
