When I had it on my old laptop, I could choose to boot in Win7 or Ubuntu when I turned it on.
So I'm pretty sure you can change back if you want.
@The productive cunt, you can always download ubuntu, and install it with your XP, so like basically, you have both OS, you can switch back and forth when u restart your comp,
like me, I have Ubuntu 10.04 and Win 7 on my comp, I come on my win 7 when i want to play any games....
but you don't have to completely format your comp, and install......... if you know what i mean... and if u wanna know how to install it while having your other OS, let me know and i will try to make a vid..

Depending on your config, most likely, yeah. Get Lubuntu or Xubuntu (XFCE will most likely be the best balance between features / speed and has the windows-ish feel that KDE and other "linuxy" DE lack).
Damn too late, I'm already on Ubuntu. Much better then Windows XP.
