Redstone - The Basics

In this little tutorial i'm going to show you guys how to work with redstone.

First of all we ask ourselves : What is redstone and how to obtain it?

Redstone can be obtained by mining redstone ores.

Redstone ores can be mined with iron pickaxes.

Once mined, the redstone dust (normally 4 or 5) will come out.

Once obtained the redstone dust, you can start crafting it into ..

.. a redstone torch

.. a redstone repeater

.. a piston

Now here are some basic things you can do with redstone.

1. Attach a door to it ..

2. Attach a piston to it ..

3. Make a dispenser shoot arrows ..

More basic stuff and other things to make in the video !!

Yeah, that is pretty basic, but hey the dummies gotta start somewhere.

Hey I just want to add on how to obtain redstone. You download and install TMI or Download and Install SPC and then type give redstone /

Anyways This will really help REAL DUMMIES

Well, i somehow showed how it looks like and how to obtain it is just cutting it, but i can't edit it to add urs.

Already been a guide for redstone, don't really get why you posted this, still quite easy to follow
