Which minecraft did you download? Try re-downloading or try doing it again

You put the Minecraft.jar into your bin folder.... thats all and then start your minecraft.exe

Make sure it replaces your minecraft.jar that is already in there...

delete your current minecraft.jar, and place the prerelease jar in the same folder the original jar was. (.minecraft/bin)
