Funny how there is no grammatical rule in the English language stating that "and" or "but" cannot be used at the start of a sentence. It's considered non-standard. Some people consider it informal, but more than anything, its just a hyper-correction that elementary school teachers enforce to prevent children from writing in fragments or making the quality of there text sound choppy. Look it up.
