[Solved] MiniMap/radar background images?

MiniMap/radar background images?

Hey guys

I'm wondering if anybody here has managed to find or extract the map image files used for the in-game radar background. Here's an example of what i'm after, from MW2 - http://i.imgur.com/YWpW5.jpg

If anybody has these already, knows where they are, or how to extract them, that would be greatly appreciated

attached below (6 posts down) is a full pack of all the maps with proper names, and a text key for of their in-game names to the mp_xxx map names.
Loads of credit to graphik for extracting almost all of the maps.

They're all in \main\iw_01.iwd. Name format is compass_map_mp_mapname.iwi. Extract them using winrar, then run the IWI file through IWIxDDS. Or you can see them all here: MW3 Map Radars - Imgur

They don't have the same names as in-game, but I'm pretty sure those are all of them.

Alright, I hate to be that guy who keeps asking for help, but I'm stuck again. In your imgur album, mp_dome seems to be missing. Of course, the first thing I did upon noticing this was to fire up IWIxDDS and do the dirty work myself. I found compass_map_mp_dome.iwi slick and easy, and thought I was home free, but I've not been able to get it to run through IWIxDDS- It always fails. I've tried a number of versions of IWIxDDS (including the most recent version) to no avail, and i'm using them as directed (AFAIK).

I guess the point of my post comes down to a couple of questions:

1) is anyone else having this problem with compass_map_mp_dome.iwi? and is that perhaps the reason it wasn't uploaded to begin with?

2) if other people are able to extract it easily, would one of you kind folks care to stick it on imgur? If so, I'll treat your whole table to a round of +rep & thanks!

3) is there some idiot mistake i'm making with .iwi files and their conversion? or any tricks I'm missing?
