[Help?] Can External HDD's...
Can an external hard drive have an operating system installed onto it? Anyone know? I tried googleing but all you find now is porn and shit because of creeps saying anything to do with anything as a tag or some shiet
yes you can, if you boot from that hdd. you can even install it on a usb stick

Well my laptop harddrive is fked and has bad reallocated sector count and its unfixxable so i need a new one. and Externals are cheaper...

Unless you have your external hooked up through ethernet or usb 3 or esata you're going to have terrible performance, that coupled with slow drives (5400 rpm) would be a pretty terrible experience. Get a new internal drive and skip all the bullshit.
