Careful Everyone

There is most likely a ban wave going on. If you look on the Vindictus Technical Support forums, you will find numerous complaints from people unable to log in. As you all "should" know, the dreaded "You have been disconnected from the server. Please log in from the website" could be a sign that you were banned.

Everyone please be careful on their mains and don't go around hacking like an idiot.

But I'm not sure if the ones posting on tech forums are hackers or not. If they are, then Nexon is conducting a ban wave. If not, then maybe it's just Nexon tweaking the servers to include better security. I still see the leaders on the leaderboard still very active everyday. Because if Nexon wanted to ban obvious hackers, that's the place they would look at first. So until these leaderboard leaders are banned, I'm still uncertain if Nexon is conducting an actual ban wave.

Anyone on this forum that got the same error message, please post here so that we'd have a better idea of what's going on. If a lot of people here got that same error message, then I guess we could be more certain that Nexon is banning hackers. I have sent in 2 tickets regarding this "error" I got from my three accounts. Hopefully I will hear from and see what they have to say.

@Phemy, did you get this error too? I've already lost three accounts in two weeks. I think they're onto me ^_^ Maybe time to play legit or pay for a vpn. What to do...what to do...

This is just a bug. It happens all the time in some form or another. I have 5 accounts and at any given time at least one of them has this problem until the next server "fix". I think they have some sort of DB issue with accounts getting locked up.

Do I basicallly just wait? I never hacked on my main, and my main has the "error"

I really hope it's just an error. How long do we have to wait cuz it's been 2 maintenance and I still can't log in? My cadet badge is expiring and all I can do is watch.

You have to wait for a server maintenance and hope it fixes it. I've gone 2 weeks without being able to log a character in.

People really got banned if you got that message u got 80% chance of beeing banned.

I think there's no doubt people are really being banned in EU, but this thread is concerned with NA, I believe. NA rarely seems to ban people. There are people who have been hacking accounts for months with the same screen name who have still not been banned. Even after tons of screenshots have been posted on the official Nexon forums showing their screen name as being the character they mailed all of the stolen items to.

Nexon NA is already at the point with hacks, and hackers that they would lose way too much money by banning all hackers.
Nexon EU...is not. They're trying to remedy the problem before one exists. To them I say kudos, that's proper business sense.

Interesting...wait until Wednesday after maintenance and try to log in again. If you can't, then probably 95% you're banned just like me. I still can't log into one of my accounts for 2 weeks and it's been several maintenance. Nexon is very incompetent in everything that they do so I wouldn't be surprised if they started banning legit accounts.

When Nexon NA bans, they ban your main, not your botting accounts.

A simple look through the forum posts of those getting the error would show that the majority are hackers. I would suggest that everyone just assume that it is in fact a ban wave and avoid hacking on your main account.

In all likelihood, it is a script doing the banning. I was experimenting before with what flags would cause an insta-ban, and it seems to be a combination of # of mails, battles completed and possibly number of quests completed. I was botting on regrets before and every time I reached over 1k mails, I would be banned as soon as I logged off.

Anyways, best of luck everyone and remember it's better safe than sorry.

I've had over 1,200 mails and I'm still not banned.

It's funny. EU had an update on tuesday (or wednesday) and I couldn't log on for the day. Submitted a ticket and got a response saying "Your account has been banned etcetc". Today I tried to log on and my account wasn't banned. How strange..?
