Portal 2 Coop Loader

Portal 2 Coop Loader v1.0

Description:
This is a simple Portal 2 Coop Loader tool that I wrote. Simplifying of hosting or joining a game without having to write out multiple commands in the command prompt in game, automating the process for you. Letting you play with your friend Online or in Lan Mode. Just making life easier.

Instructions:
Make sure to place the loader into the same folder as your install directory for Portal 2.

Hosting a Game:
Get your IP by visiting www.WhatsMyIP.org and give it to your friend. Or if you are using Hamachi give him that IP address then.
  1. Run "Portal 2 Coop Loader.exe".
  2. Choose a Map of your choice.
  3. Check "Lan Mode" if you are playing on a Lan network. (Uncheck if using Hamachi)
  4. Click "Host" button. And tell your friend to join when your loading screen is done.

Joining a Game:
  1. Run "Portal 2 Coop Loader.exe".
  2. Choose "Join Game".
  3. Enter your friends IP address.
  4. Click "Join" button.

Interesting tool. I know that the console versions of Portal 2 are already co-op enabled (PSN + XBL). Is this for the Steam version, because it would be weird if it didn't have one to begin with?

Yeah this was made for cracked and bought versions of the game enabling you to play online with your friends directly. I haven't tested it out with Steam but I'm sure it would work also just place it into the correct install directory.

Nope you just get the cracked Portal 2 from Skidrow install and place launcher in same folder and run it. Done.

Well this program doesn't crack it or anything like that, it just launches the game using command line arguments. Kinda like shortcuts with commands which are built in to the game already. When I downloaded the game I got a similar thing just was a batch file so I thought I should re-write the batch into an actually GUI that looks much nicer. And I am not really good at cracking programs, I'm still learning myself. Try to find a couple Reverse Engineer Tutorials if you are interested in learning.

Yeah still working on the version it's not quiet finished for another release quiet yet. And I am also busy with other projects also so I don't always have time for this project. But once in a while I come back to this and add a thing or two or go find bugs.
