In how long have you seen the "People" actually do anything. 99% of the American population are lazy fucks who believe what they see on the liberal media and just go along with whatever the government says. They'll leave the fighting to "other people", and the majority will agree with the government when those who fight are labeled as terrorists. No, the people < Government for the sheer fact they've let the government get this far already. No one's picked up the first rifle and rallied at the nearest pubs, no one's going to move a muscle for anything other than the TV remote or the computer keyboard.
Wow.. I'm going to watch another failure happen
You idiots. This is 10x more likely to pass.

stickied OPEN thread plox?
As far as I understand the OPEN act will only effect websites that promote copyright and there has to be a court process involving a website prior to any action and does not involve any take down but rather a cease and desist order (much like the one MPGH recieved from Nexon a couple years ago). It basically removes incentive for piracy promotion but doesn't harm the internets. I'm much more like to support this, but I'm only going of what I've read on one article.

If the OPEN act garners enough attention here I'll sticky this and close the SOPA thread.

It seems to be much more balanced and fine. It's a scalpel as opposed to the broad sword that is SOPA. However I can't go on one article.
Want it to end? Vote Ron Paul. He supported our protest aginst SOPA
I haven't read the OPEN act, but if it is in anyway similar to SOPA, I'm out.

It's end goal is the same but it's process is completely different and it's being supported by a number of Anti-SOPA companies and the MPAA doesn't support OPEN, so it's in my books.
Government is just stupid.

On the contrary. The government is very clever, sly, and corrupt.
