I used to get this frequently.
The likely issue is that Chrome's built-in Flash Player conflicts with separate Flash Player that you manually installed for other browsers.
Go to Options>Under the Hood>Content Settings>Disable Individual Plugins
Scroll down to Flash and you should see two files. Look at their locations, disable the one that isn't under Chrome files. Test, if it still freezes, switch and disable the other and test again..
If all fails, just reinstall Chrome/Flash.
