I need to start a hobby. So I decided to take up skateboarding. I love everything about it. And I think it would be fun, plus I have done it before and progressed a little bit, but I quit too soon. Any skaters on here with any tips? Like what a good board or things to start with are, or things I should look at to learn. Also, I already own two pairs of shoes, both flat bottom, ideal for skating.

So yeah, just want some tips. Thanks guise.

i use a mini logo blank deck wit grind king trucks and boneswis berrings and my trusty speed demon wheels and dontforget to get spacers there like 50cents. o and boneswis berrings are expensive so if ya dont wanna spend TOO much get zero 8 ball berings. o and i skate in Lkai shooes there fliping awsome

What are the spacers for?

they go inbetwean your deck and trucks so you dont ruin your board like impact absorbers

Oh cool. So I'm sure this is personal preference but what about looseness of trucks? I know it depends on how I want to turn but what do you recommend? What's a good deck also? Plus, I'm going to start like in my garage and shit to learn a lot of tricks before I go anywhere or else I look like a poser ******, which I don't want to be, so I'll learn before I try anything O_o

hey, just never give up, it took me like two months before i could decently land a kickflip, and i never gave up. u need to practice hard and never get discouraged.

yea man it takes time if you need anny help on tricks google it =D o and my truks are REALLY lose kuz im a lil underweight im 119 LBs and im 16 so im light it all depends on ur weight an what you skate I skate street thats why I have em so lose

Back when i skated i liked to keep my trucks loose.
I liked zero boards; Soka boards when i couldnt afford something else; or just a blank board thats good enough.

Dont get a board thats too many layers

i like mine loose to, im 125 at 16 so, we are about the same.

Yes, in fact, it is. I'm glad someone here is intelligent enough to understand my alias. I chose it about 5 years ago and did some wordplay, and got that.

And thanks, the shoes weren't expensive at all, either, and they're brand new.
