What's causing this problem?

Also I get this error when I try to play miniecraft

accelerated opengl mode error
Bad video card drivers!

I'm running a Dell Inspirion 6400 Laptop with Windows XP & 945Express chipset family. I've downloaded the latest drivers from the Dell website.

First off never get generic drivers from manufacturer websites, they're bound to be outdated. Go directly to Intel and fetch the drivers from there. Furthermore Intel's gpus can't really be considered good, so it might just be that it doesn't support the required tech to run MC and that it might have some glitches with TF2. I would personally recommend you check the MC or Steam forums for Intel-specific fixes, as I doubt this is a general problem.

MCForums are pretty pro at fixing the problem for MC. That's actually where I got my video card drivers from

I've looked there for the MC problem, couldn't find anything but i'll make a thread about it sometime

I got the drivers from the Dell page for my laptop (I entered my service code)

Do you have a dedicated card?
