Windows 7 installation problem :/

Sup all ppl.Im having a little problem with installing the windows 7 beta.The thing is that i would like to keep all my files but if i pick update option on the installer(that means you will just update the windows)it says its only for win vista sp1 etc.So if i wanna have the win 7 i have to make a full clean up and stuff.Well my question is is it possible to keep the files also for windows xp??I m sry for my english lol

Well in order to upgrade you would have to delete everything. Why don't you buy a nice flash drive (8gb) or something or you could burn a lot of cds and dvds to hold the files. That's my only guess. Cause you would have to whip out the Hard Drive. Unless you partition the drive to hold xp and the new windows 7. But up to you.
