[Solved] X-trap database? huh?

X-trap database? huh?

any idea?.. i didn't mess with it or anything, i just felt playing CF then BAM! this comes up, i tried multiple times, no luck.. any help would be awesome! thanks...

NOTE: i cannot re-download the whole thing, it will take too long (10-18 hours -_-) and it will massively kill my internet's speed..(makes it 2000 bits-5kb/s) and i cannot re-install it, my installer is too old like 4 months ago, it will tell me your client is too old and stuff..

again, any help would be great...

Never had an issue like this before...

First go to your CF Folder : C:\Program Files\Z8Games\Crossfire
Copy and paste your xTrap folder to your desktop or somewhere else where you'll remember where you put it.
Then delete the xTrap folder from your CF Folder.
Load up Crossfire, it'll redownload the xTrap Folder(Backed up just in case something goes wrong).

Then see what happens.
It could be a corrupted xTrap folder, but I don't know.

Just give that a shot.

Okay, it worked the first time, but when I closed it and tried again to make sure, it started updating again(idk why, it was still there) then it comes up, the x-trap database thingy...
EXTRA: After all that happened ^ my avast! found root kit in my CF folder, don't know why, so i deleted and the problem came back, i could keep the root kit in the folder, tho, i don't want any viruses and stuff...could you confirm me that its fake? Thanks Hero

What was the name of the rootkit file?

Well, the first steps you said worked the first time, now i can't see the root kit or anything

It went back as it was, as if i did nothing... sorry for wasting your time...if u have anything else that could help me, it would be great! Thanks Hero
