i think i found your problem.... if you are running the crossfire europe like me.... then dont write patcher_cf ..... i had the same problem... i writed " patcher_cf" and didnt worked.... just write crossfire (without the " .exe" ) make it automaticly... and start crossfire from patcher cf... this problem is becouse when you start the game.... the system dont read it like " patcher_cf " but like " crossfire " ... do this and i am 99% sure that it will work... and the window mode is on game settings...
and you dont have to thank me... i like helping ^^

when it shows up the message that said " could not find sound driver etc..." what did you do? you close it or you press ok?
NOTE: I press only ENTER and then its working fine..

damn.... i just posted a tutorial for how to open this hack coz some guys didnt knew.....but now its patched.... well i think this tutorial will not help them anymore....
