To offer further insight (This is the type of answer I would want if I ever decided to ask this question) Nexon hasn't simply patched hacks, but they patched the methods hacks were used by. The ways of detecting hacks were changed, so developers need to look for a way to adapt to that. This isn't a situation that comes around often, so no one can really tell you how long it'll take. But like they said^, it'll come when it comes.
