Sorry I didn't answer any of your questions, but I have PS3 Slim and I think it's totally worth buying!
And for PS1 games, I don't think that PS3 plays them... But I know that you can download PS1 classics from the PSN store, and even some PS2 games from the PSN store and play them on your PS3.

Oh and I'm looking for stores/websites where I can like buy a game play it for few weeks and get another game. I want to keep doing that. There was a store in another state I lived in, where I brought let's say 4 used games for $100. Then I could keep returning a game and getting store credit to buy something else and I kept doing that. The store is only located at one state and I was wondering if there any stores/websites where I can do the same thing. I know one example is GameFly.

I just bought a new one yesterday, totally worth it. never going to sell mine again.
The only thing i wish ps3 had that xbox360 does have is there party system. chat with people thats in your party thats playing another game.
also heard that cross gaming platform is coming out really soon
other then that ps3 is pretty good, and at a reasonable price! if you get one add me xiTzSeyeko and iTzSeyeko-

when?not to ps3 surely but to the new xbox or playstation then yea
If they make a cross gaming platform it will probably be only the next Playstation and Xbox because PC and Wii U are just too drastically different.
