The population cap is estimated to be at 10 billion, not much of a problem in comparison to the exponential growth which people expect
As a matter of fact, the population growth is going down atm. Countries that use to produce 7 children + in the 90s are only producing 4 now
The only countries mass producing are the ones in poverty. For every child that dies another one gets produce, so the population will multiply in those countries. Ultimately pulling it out of massive reproduction. So the cap estimated by the U.N. is 10 billion.

But think about it, with the manipulation of genes and things along those lines humans will evolve and so many more things would be possible.

I think they should stop trying to cure aids and cancer and shit. It's sad, it really is but the big picture is, we'll be more fucked if we ever cured those.

I find curing aids slightly important since its a disease that only grows exponentially and sooner or later everyone will get it. Cancer however is unnecessary to cure, it doesn't spread-mutate etc. It simply decreases the human population which is kind of a good thing.
But with prolonged life, population won't be as much of a problem since men and women would probably be able to main fertility for a longer time as well.
