Try using some C4D's for effects and such.
Look up some tutorials on Deviantart if you need help blending.

lol wtf, the brushes are ok, but youll soon out grow them, and work on text

jus google search them or check out my help post, ill edit this with the link. it has some good links for beginners....and its not bad for just brushes and basic

u can use Cs3 brushes on gimp
